How we work

From first conversation to an established commercial relationship.

Every relationship we support follows the same path. The detail varies, but each party's role, and how Torus is paid, stay clear throughout.

The process

Six steps

  1. Understand the requirement

We learn what a provider offers and which clients it serves well, or what a business needs from an outsourced service.

  2. Identify opportunities

Through research and our existing relationships, we identify businesses and providers that are likely to be a good fit for each other.

  3. Make the introduction

We introduce the parties with the relevant context. Each decides independently whether to proceed.

  4. Agree the commercial arrangement

The business and the provider agree the service terms between them. Separately, Torus and the provider agree the basis of Torus's fees for the business generated.

  5. Coordinate the relationship

We stay involved on commercial matters: following up, supporting further opportunities and keeping the relationship organised.

  6. Statement and invoice

Torus invoices its fees to the provider. Each invoice is supported by an activity statement showing the business the fees relate to.

Fees

How we are paid

Torus earns consultancy and introduction fees from the service providers we work with. The fees are set under commercial arrangements agreed with each provider and are linked to the business generated.

Paid by the provider

The provider pays Torus. The business being introduced does not.

Linked to the business generated

Fees relate to the business that results from our introductions and commercial work.

Supported by activity statements

Each invoice is supported by an activity statement for the relevant period.

Invoiced by Torus

Fees are invoiced by Torus Management Consultancy CO. L.L.C S.O.C.

Fee arrangements are agreed individually with each provider, so we do not publish rates. Delivery of the underlying outsourced service remains with the appointed provider.
